How do I schedule a session?

Where and when will my session take place?
Prior to your session I will send you an online questionnaire to learn about your dog(s). We will have a phone consultation and discuss your dog’s desires, needs, and behaviors. I will customize your session around this information and pick the most appropriate outdoor location in or near Bend. Together we will come up with some fun and creative ideas.
Where we decide to go will be impacted by the light and weather conditions. Fortunately Bend’s weather is pretty reliable and we have the beauty of four seasons. If by chance the weather doesn’t cooperate, I will happily reschedule our session.
What can I do to prepare for our session?
After completing the online questionnaire and phone consultation, you can start start thinking about how and where you would like to display your future artwork.
What happens on the day of the session?
I always like to touch base the night before our session to confirm and discuss details and answer any last minute questions. I will arrive at our location a little early so I can inspect the area and be ready when you arrive. It is always good for you to pack some favorite dog treats and toys. Don’t forget a leash! Accessories such as bandanas and outfits are welcomed. I love dressing up dogs!
Can I help during the session?
Yes of course! Your involvement will be fundamental in helping get the best possible images. During our session I will instruct you on how to best assist me.
What happens after the session?
I will start editing your images. Approximately one week after your session I will send you a link to your private online gallery. I will then set up an appointment for you to come into my studio where you will view your images, select your favorites, see product samples, and place your order. Then I will complete the final touch ups and place your order. Within a couple of weeks your beautiful artwork will arrive and be ready to be displayed in your home.
Products
Our homes are unique places where we can adorn the walls with beautiful art and images that bring us joy and memories. The precious images of you and your dog(s) are the ideal art to add love, life, and color to your home.
Your images will come alive though the selection of the quality products I offer; these products include large metal and acrylic wall prints or vibrant canvases. If you can’t choose and want them all you can select a customized coffee table book or a slideshow.
What does my session fee include?
Your session fee includes my time, talent and the time to edit your images. Your images will be uploaded to a private online gallery for viewing and sharing prior to our viewing session in my studio.
Does my dog needs to be on leash?
Depending on our choice of location and your dog’s personality, we can either be on or off leash. If your dog must be on leash I can easily remove the leash in post editing.
Do you photograph people also?
Yes, I have been photographing people for over a decade with my portraiture business, Jill Rosell Photography. Capturing your relationship with your dog(s) makes a session even more fun and results in more images to select from.
Can I buy the high resolution digital files from my session?
As a professional photographer my goal and service to you is to produce beautiful artwork for you to display in your home. To not have control of the printing process is like having someone take the brush from a painter and finish their painting for them. A lot can go wrong in the printing process and that is why I work with quality professional labs that I trust will produce the very best quality artwork of you and your dog(s).
Your session fee does not include any high resolution digital files. I do understand the need for digital files in today’s world, therefore complimentary low resolution (social media ready) files are provided with every print purchase.
Additionally, there is an option to purchase a digital file suitable for a holiday card, this will provide up to a 5x7 print.
How and when do I pay for my session?
Full payment is due at the time of your session. Cash, check, and Venmo, are accepted. Products are paid in full at time of ordering. Ask me about paying with credit cards if you have no other options available.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes. A Dogs About Bend Gift Voucher is the perfect gift for every dog owner. You can choose to add credit to your gift voucher, which your recipient can put towards products. Vouchers can be processed over the phone and can be picked up, posted or emailed out on the same day. Vouchers are valid for one year and are not transferable or refundable.
